Olds College was established in 1913 as a public post-secondary institution in Olds, Alberta. Previously when the college was established, it was known as Olds Agricultural College, but in 1970, the name was changed to Olds College. The main focus of the college is to impart education to its students in the agriculture field; hence the former name of the college is Olds Agriculture college. The college has two campuses. The main campus situated in Olds is over 2000 acres of landmass and accommodates most of the newly enrolled students and the second campus is in Calgary. Olds College offers over 30 programs which are certificate programs, diploma, and bachelors degree programs. The Government of Alberta authorizes all the programs.

Application Process:

The preferred method of applying for study at Olds College is through the ApplyAlberta online post-secondary application system.

All applicants are required to create a MyAlberta account to apply online.

Please note, you do not have to ‘Verify’ the account to complete the application process. You will need your Alberta Student Number (ASN) to apply through ApplyAlberta. If you do not know your Alberta Student Number (ASN), you can look up your ASN. If you did not attend high school in Alberta, you will receive an ASN upon registering with the ApplyAlberta system.

International Applicants:

Prior to applying, please take into consideration the Study Permit processing times for your particular country. You want to ensure you have enough time to get all your documents in to us for assessment (assessment may take up to 3-6 weeks), receive your Offer of Admission, pay your tuition deposit and successfully apply for your Study Permit before your program begins. As a reminder, application fees are non-refundable. Please refer to Immigration and Citizenship Canada website for processing times in your country. Please ensure you have thoroughly read the www.oldscollege.ca/international page for application instructions and processing times.

Admit Cards or Notarized Documents of the students in the application package for any future application. If there is no admit card or the documents are not notarized, the application will not be processed further.

Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL)
For PAL letters and LOA we will be using a secure platform called Mycreds. . This secure platform is designed to provide you with an authenticated PAL provided by the GOA. Once a PAL is added to your MyCreds account you will receive a notification from the Office of the Registrar with instructions on how to access this document.

There is a cost of $9.50 (plus GST) to access LOA PAL. Once they pay the 9.50 to release the document they will need to click the share button and then email (olds email) a copy of it to themselves and then they can download the certified PAL pdf from their email.

For tuition fee receipts or deposit receipts , please monitor Olds college email. If students pay just the

$1500 deposit and then pay the rest of the first year fees they will have to pay for both LOA to download from MyCreds. So they should pay their full fees first (if they are planning to pay the full year they should let us know) to save the cost of downloading the 2nd LOA.
